The iconic CAPRISTO Valved Exhaust System offers the best of both worlds through its capability to produce an aggressive exhaust note under acceleration, and a more subdued sound for city driving. This system includes 100 Cell Sport Catalytic Converters and an X-pipe replacement to maximize the performance and weight savings (nearly 8 kg lighter) as a complete solution.

This feature is possible using vacuum-actuated valve flaps that open and close depending on driving conditions and input from the driver. At lower engine speeds and during cruise operation the valves are closed and produce a deeper exhaust note. At wide-open throttle, the valves open releasing the full symphony of the engine.

The exhaust valves are backpressure-controlled and user programmable via the included CES-3 Control Module. The programmable control unit provides 3 modes operated via a remote key fob:

Cruise Exhaust valves open at higher RPMs

Sport Exhaust valves open at lower RPMs and hard acceleration

Open Exhaust Valves Remain Open

Both the Cruise and Sport mode can be individually programmed for specific backpressure allowances to determine when the exhaust valves open. This allows precise control of the exhaust based on the drivers personal tastes and tolerance.

200 Cell Sports Cats

This system includes Sport Catalytic Converters and an X-pipe replacement to maximize the performance and weight savings (nearly 8 kg lighter) as a complete solution. The High Performance Catalytic Converters feature 200 cell per square inch substrate fashioned from the highest quality materials currently available designed to improve air flow for your vehicle and increase performance.

The cell count of a catalytic substrate refers to the number of holes per square inch and is a direct indication of the flow capabilities of that substrate. The lower the count of holes the bigger the hole need to be to fill one square inch, a bigger hole subsequently flows more exhaust gasses.

All of this High flow will not help if the substrate is 'squeezed' into to small a diameter can or pipe. For this reason, CAPRISTO Sports Cats come packaged in 5.2 inch packages to maximize exhaust gas flow and operation of the valved exhaust system.

CAPRISTO Exhaust systems are engineered and manufactured utilizing advanced 3D Laser-Scanning, CAD Design, Digital prototyping, and CNC-bending/milling at our factory in Germany. Each system is made of high-grade T309 (1.4828) Stainless Steel and hand polished to a mirror finish. After extensive research, this specific alloy was chosen for its sonic resonance properties, low weight, and durability which are close to the properties of Inconel (used in F1).

IMPORTANT

*The exhaust system is designed to be installed directly into existing F-Type R (4WD) OEM mounting points*

*Recommended For Off-Road and Track Use Only*

Replacing Your OEM Catalytic Converter/s may trigger a CEL (Check Engine Light). To disable a recurring CEL you will need to tune the ECU or use 02 Sensor Extensions.

**The use of sports catalytic converters, replacement pipes and manual valve controls (CES- 3, EVCU-1) are not permitted on public roads in some US states and other countries. Please be sure to observe the legal regulations in the respective country/state.  Sports exhaust systems that are not approved for use on public roads are intended exclusively for racing purposes and are designed to be used on private racetracks. Use on public roads at your own risk.  Before installing an exhaust system, the buyer must ensure that the system can be used in their respective region.  Capristo Automotive emphasizes that you should avoid to rev up your car while not moving! The exhaust flames that may occur could cause damage to vehicles and persons in near proximity!**
